IKEA's plans are ambitious: In Kamen near Dortmund, construction on a store with 29,000m² floor space began on April 5th, 2004. The grand opening took place on November 24th, 2004. As a result, IKEA was able to complete construction in the shortest amount of time ever for a building of this size. The project team achieved such spectacular results to a large extent thanks to conjectPM

Since 2002, the Portuguese company, Sonae Sierra, has been using conjectPM for project development to support its successful expansion in Europe and South America. From the start, all relevant documents have been filed in a structure which is uniform across projects, and roughly reflects the company structure. Departments can access the desired results without major introduction to either the project or the product, regardless of their location. Language differences thus have no influence from the start on the inner-European exchange of knowledge. The project structure exists in every case in English and is available in the language of the country where the project is located. Knowledge is exchanged transparently and all data is available centrally even after a halt and/or resumption in development.

Production halls and offices for the BMW Works in Leipzig were completed as planned. That was at the end of 2003. Now it was time to step back and take stock. Those responsible for the project took a meticulous look: Was execution of the project efficient and what were its results? Where could time and money have been saved, what could be improved or changed in the future? Project directors and building owners wanted to know exactly and came to the conclusion: "An extremely cost-effective tool."
