Overview System Requirements

Besides Windows 2000 and Windows XP conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project. supports Windows Vista and Windows 7 as well. Depending on your System Configuration the following minor functional limitations may occur:

Some Java versions are not completely compatible with Vista and Windows 7. Therefore download the latest Java version:

If you use the "User Account Control (UAC)" of Vista or Windows 7, the following functions may in some cases (depending on your system settings) work with limitations only:

• Online Edit
• Online Meeting
• Multi Download

To use these functions properly please deactivate the "User Account Control (UAC)" in the Control Panel. If you need help please ask your IT-Administrator.

Helpful setting for Firefox

Besides Windows XP or Windows 2000 you can use conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project. with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) or Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and the Firefox Browser 3.x or 6.x.

Other operating systems like Linux are not supported presently.

Adding conject to the "Trusted Sites" of your Internet Explorer requires least settings to set up your PC to work optimally with conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project.. Proceed as follows:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
3. Select the "Trusted Sites" web content zone on the "Security" tab.
4. Open the trusted sites form by clicking on the "Sites" button below.
5. Disable the checkbox "Require server verification ..." at the bottom of the next window.
6. Enter the web site *.conject.com in the upper input line and click on "Add". Your entry appears in the window below.
7. Accept the changes by clicking on "Close".
8. Save the new settings by clicking on "Apply" or "OK".

Note for all Internet Explorer 7 users:
With version 7 of the Internet Explorer the Pop-up Blocker is not disabled inside the "Trusted Sites" zone using the default setting "Medium" as security level. Click on "Custom Level ...", scroll to the "Use Pop-up Blocker" item and change the setting to "Disabled".

1. Open Internet Explorer and the "Tools" menu.
2. In the "Pop-up Blocker" menu, select the "Pop-up Blocker Settings", to configure the Pop-up blocker to work with conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project..
   
   Note: Select "Turn off Pop-up Blocker" to deactivate the Pop-up blocker.
   
   
3. Enter the website *.conject.com in the upper input line and click on "Add".
4. Apply the changes with the "Close" button.

Note: We recommend entering *.conject.com to the "Trusted Sites" of the Internet Explorer. For validation please use our

If the System Check was successful, a valid Java version is already installed on your computer and no further settings are required.

If a current version of Java of Sun Microsystems is already installed on your computer, you will see a dancing cartoon after a short time. Your Java version will be displayed above. Please pay attention on the version. You need to have at least version 6 (this is equal to the required version 1.6).

If a current version of the Java Runtime Environment is already installed on your computer, please check whether it is activated in the browser settings (Default setting):

If you have not yet installed Java or have an older version than 1.6, you can download Java at java.com. For the installation you have 2 options.

 Online Installation (only Windows users):

1. Open the website www.java.com/en/
2. Click on Select "Free Java Download".
3. Follow the notes and installation instructions on the next page and start the installation with the "Free Java Download" button.
4. You can find a detailed instruction manual here.

Offline Installation: Download an installation file to your computer first:

1. Open the website http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
2. Click on "Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003 Offline" under the "Windows" section and save the installation file to your computer.
3. Start the installation wizzard with a double click on the saved file.
4. You can find a detailed instruction manual here.

Mac Users: Please click on the download link under "Apple (OS X)" and download Java directly from the Apple website.

Note: To use the full range of functionalities of conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project. you need to have the version 1.6 or higher installed on your local computer. For older versions full functionality cannot be warranted.

Check this setting if Java based functions (Upload of drawings or multiple documents or the Viewer) do not work anyhow:

Note: You do not have to check this setting if you use Internet Explorer 7.x with Java version 1.6.0_10 (version 6 update 10) or higher.

With Windows 2000 and certain versions of Windows XP, the Microsoft Virtual Machine (VM) is automatically installed in the Internet Explorer 6.x. In order to avoid conflicts between the Microsoft VM and the Java Runtime Environment of Sun, please disable the Microsoft VM as described below:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select "Internet Options" from the "Tools" menu.
3. Scroll to the "Microsoft VM" item on the "Advanced" tab, if present.
4. Deselect all options that correspond to "Microsoft VM".
5. Make sure that the option "Java (Sun)" is enabled.
6. Accept the settings by clicking on "OK".

Note: Please make sure that the Java Plug-in is activated in the Add-on settings of the Internet Explorer (not required when using Internet Explorer 7.x with Java version 1.6.0_10).

Note: If you use customized settings please verify if "Active scripting" is enabled in the security settings:

As HTTP 1.1 is often used in enterprise networks and provides a higher performance, we recommend to enable HTTP 1.1 in Internet Explorer:

2. Scroll to the "HTTP 1.1 settings" item on the "Advanced" tab.
3. Enable both checkboxes for "Use HTTP 1.1" and "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections".
4. Accept the settings with "OK".

For an optimal usage of conjectPMpm. is an internet-based project space connecting project managers, architects, investors and all other participants of a construction project. we recommend a screen resolution of at least 1280 x 768 pixels. Minor resolutions will cause faulty display of the user interface. To align the screen resolution, proceed as follows:

1. Click on "Start" in the left lower side of the Windows task bar.
2. Choose "Control Panel" under the "Settings" item ("Control Panel" is located under "Start" when using Windows Vista).
3. On the next screen open the "Display" option with a double click (open the "Personalization" item first and then click on "Display settings" when using Windows Vista).
4. Go to the "Settings" tab (this step is not required when using Windows Vista).
5. Use the slide control to set the value of the "Screen resolution" to 1280 by 768 pixels and click on "Apply" or "OK".
6. Apply the confirmation message with "OK" and following with "Yes" to accept the changes at once.

Web-Folders are supported by the operating systems listed below. In case they don't work, please download the appropriate update to activate web-folders.

• Open Folder "C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB"
• Open the properties of the corresponding DLL-file using right mouse button
• Click on tab "Version" or "Details"

Under Windows Vista you can open your documents within a web folder only by using the context menu (right mouse button).
